Zombie Run 5K October 12

Register before July 31 to save $5!

Our second Zombie Run 5K on October 12 takes you on a fun and challenging course through the park. You’ll have to test your strength, endurance, speed, and determination as you escape the blood-thirsty zombies and fight your way to the finish line. Register now to enjoy the race, survival snack and admission to The Great Escape.

Zombies take over the park and hide out in the most unsuspecting areas. You’ll need endurance and survival skills to stay alive. After you check in at 8:30 a.m., you will be given three flags, which represent your lives. You must tuck the flags into your pants and wear one on each hip and one on your lower back. As you race around the park, our thirsty zombies will be trying to steal your flags. Once all your flags are gone, you die and realize you’re too weak to survive a real zombie apocalypse. Your goal is to make it to the finish line with at least one flag, but even if you lose all your lives, you can still complete the course and receive an official Zombie Run participant medal.

The race begins at 10 a.m. Regardless of your outcome in the race, you’re invited to enjoy the Survival Bash at the North Woods Picnic Grove. The celebration will begin at 12 p.m. and includes a race awards ceremony, live music and a great snack menu. You can then enjoy a day at The Great Escape riding all your favorite rides and thrilling attractions.

Zombie Run registration is $50, but if you register before July 31, you’ll save $5. Your registration includes race entry, a T-Shirt, participation award, free parking, post-race snack and free admission to the park. If you want to watch the race but don’t want to participate, you can purchase a spectator ticket for $35, which gives you early entry to view the zombie run, free parking, survival snack and free admission to the park. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross Adirondack-Saratoga Chapter. If you’re too scared to fight the zombies or can’t attend the race, you can still donate to the organization.
